Lake Notes:  Max depth of 50 m.  Home of the Canadian Bass Championship every year.  Connects to Lake Of The Woods thru Rainy River.  Rainy Lake anglers have success with jigs, crankbaits, and minnow-shaped baits.  Rainy Lake has been rated among the Top 5 lakes in Canada for trophy-size Smallmouth Bass.  Try deeper structures such as boulder-strewn points, rocky island shelves, saddles and shoreline rock/weed shoals for Smallmouth Bass.  September and October are prime Crappie months.
