Superior
Lake Superior is the
world's second largest lake, and the world's largest
freshwater lake. Lake Superior has a surface area
of 31,700 square miles and a maximum depth of 1,332
feet. Lake Superior features many scenic areas
including: Sleeping Giant Provincial Park,
Pukaskwa National Park, Lake Superior Provincial Park,
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Isle Royale National
Park, Apostle Islands, and Split Rock Lighthouse State
Park.

Lake Superior is
known for
great Salmon and Trout fishing. Chinook Salmon,
Coho Salmon and Pink Salmon are all abundant in Lake
Superior. Water flows into Lake Superior from many
small rivers and streams providing great fishing for
shore anglers. Fishing on the St. Mary's river for
Salmon is usually excellent in the fall. Trout
fishing on Lake Superior is also strong for Rainbow
Trout, Brown Trout, Steelhead Trout and Lake Trout.
