Lake Notes:  Fly-In Lake.  Max depth of 124 m, mean depth of 20 m.  Approximately 30% of Lake Athabasca lies within Alberta and the remainder is located in Saskatchewan.  Lake Athabasca is also known for having the largest area of active sand dunes in North America located along the south shore.
