Georgian Bay

Georgian Bay is a large
bay of Lake Huron, located in Ontario Canada. Georgian
Bay is about 200 miles long by 50 miles wide and covers
over 5,800 square miles, making it almost as large as Lake
Ontario. There are tens of thousands of islands in
Georgian Bay, most of these islands are along the east
side of the bay and are collectively known as the "Thirty
Thousand Islands. Manitoulin Island, lying along the
northern side of the bay, is the world's largest island in
a freshwater lake. Georgian Bay reaches a maximum depth
of 545 ft., with an average depth of 180 ft. The
thousands of islands, bays, inlets and shoals of Georgian
Bay provides trophy Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, and
Smallmouth Bass fishing.
